Below are the privacy and store policies governing OlenaBaca.com’s site. You will find information on the handling of your private data as well as custom orders, partial and full refunds, and returns.

Privacy Policy

Olena Baca will only use your shipping/ billing address(es) and contact information to do the following:

  • communicate with you about your order
  • fulfill your order
  • legal reasons (paying taxes for example)

 

Store Policy

Payment Methods

For security reasons, I use PayPal. You do not need to have a PayPal account to go through the checkout process; you can simply checkout as a guest using your credit/debit card.

Custom Order Deposits

  • Before Olena Baca begins painting a custom order for you (the customer), either a deposit or full payment will be required to secure your place in the waiting list. To pay in full, simply purchase a listing in the store. To pay a deposit (1/2 the full price) contact Olena Baca through the contact form or by emailing her at contact@olenabaca.com. If you choose to pay a deposit at the start of the custom order process, you will be required to pay the remaining balance (including shipping costs) before the item is shipped.

Shipping 

  • International shipping available upon request.
  • Olena Baca will ship via USPS by priority mail unless another shipping method has been arranged beforehand with you (the customer)
  • Each order is put into a clear plastic sleeve and safely packaged into:
    • If 12″x17″ or smaller: a sturdy shipping envelope with extra cardboard for added protection against bending
    • if greater than 12″x17″: a mailing tube
    • If unusual shape/size: these unusual situations would be addressed by Olena Baca before shipping with you (the customer) if they apply to your order
  • Each order will be shipped with tracking information and insurance.
  • Orders will not include signatue confirmation unless requested by you (the customer)
  • Custom orders wil ship 1-2 days after approval and payment clearance.
  • Non-custom orders will ship within 1-2 days of payment clearance.

Returns and Refunds

  • For non-custom paintings
    • If you are not satisfied with your original painting(s) or print(s), please contact Olena Baca within 7 days of delivery. You can return the undamaged artwork for a refund equal to the sale price of the painting. Return shipping costs are the sole responsibility of the customer, and the original shipping charges are not refunded.
  • For custom paintings
    • If you paid a deposit (1/2 of final price)
      • If you cancel before Olena Baca starts painting
        • Olena Baca will refund the deposit in full
      • If you cancel during the painting process/when the painting is finished but not shipped
        • 1/2 of the deposit will be returned to you (the customer); in other words, 25% of the final price is refunded and 25% is kept by the artist for expenses incurred
    • If you paid in full
      • If you cancel before Olena Baca starts painting
        • Olena Baca will refund the purchase price and shipping costs
      • If you cancel during the painting process OR when the painting is finished but not shipped
        • 75% of the final price is refunded to the customer and 25% is kept by the artist for expenses incurred
      • If you are not satisfied with your received painting
        • If the painting was damaged during transit and that is the cause of dissatisfaction
          • Insurance on the painting will cover the full cost, in which case either the customer or the artist, Olena Baca, can file a claim with the post office. The customer will receive a refund from USPS for the full value of insurance (value of the painting).
        • If the cause of dissatisfaction is the painting itself
          • This situation should not occur since there is an approval step before shipping in the custom order process. To prevent this situation, please take the approval step seriously as that is the proper time to make adjustments to the painting.
          • If for some reason, you are not satisfied with the painting you have received, contact Olena Baca. The painting will be shipped back to the artist and you (the customer) will be refunded 50% of the sale price. Return shipping costs are the sole responsibility of the customer, and the original shipping charges are not refunded.
